Not what I expected. Here is what I did expect - 1. to never use the tripod it came with 2. to never use the barlow it came with. 3. to never use the finderscope it came with. 4. to never use the eyepieces it came with. 5. I expected the scope to be cheaply made. What I wanted was a half-way decent short focal length scope that could double as a finder scope with a wide eyepiece and as a wide photo lens to piggy-back on another scope if I choose. What I got was a scope that would only accept .965 dia. eyepieces. So disappointing! There was no mention of that in the description. I am now faced with the dilemma of returning or buying an adapter to allow 1.25 eyepieces. The finder scope is not mounted on a dovetail mount. It is screw on.These are disappointments, not deal breakers for me as I can still use it as intended with an adapter. But if I had known about the .965 limitation, I might have spent another 10 or 20 $ to get a scope w 1.25. This is why it is conveniently omitted in the description. If you want 1.25 - don't get this scope.
