CELESTRON WORKS GREAT WITH MY MAC (OSX10.12.6) using built-in Photo Booth software. Use it on the stand and off equally, easily. Have used it to identify inside and outside insects, used it to remove splinters, etc. Attached photo is of a cool insect, this is the back of a spider (forget what the name of it was, sorry.) Other photo is of a recent crown loss on a tooth implant (which I could immediately send to my dentist) and best of all used it to photograph stages post surgery open wound healing. (Will not be showing those photos.)Would normally not bother to do so, but, my insurance company, in it's wisdom, decreed that I should be able to do / monitor my own wound changes. (Which I think is insane, as I couldn't even really see the wound clearly and I had several complications along the way.) Was able to document all stages, for my own protection as I can - should complications arise under my care- show my insurance company in case they might try and use their DIY wound care against me.Celestron is great. I don't give it any special attention, just pull it out of a drawer, plug it into the USB port, open Photo Booth and go. Comes with a generous 6' cord and it was ridiculously inexpensive, considering all that it does.
