It provides an angle of view from 31.4 degrees to 8 degrees. The lens offers a maximum aperture of f/4-5.6 and a minimum aperture of f/22, seven blades, and a circular aperture diaphragm.Fast and Accurate AutofocusSamsung's quick and accurate contrast autofocus makes it easy to capture spontaneous moments with clarity, so you'll be able to turn the most unexpected moments into detailed memories. Improves my images 1000%!

I bought this product to improve the pictures of birds I take while bird watching. 100% would buy this again. Absolutely improves image quality on far away subjects. Very easy to use and less expensive than other sellers of this product that I've seen. I use it with my Samsung NX1000. Included is a picture I took from a good 7-10 feet below this woodpecker. I've taken shots from as far away at 1000ft+ and was still able to make out individual feathers on the birds.

Well, most items in life are a price/value trade off. This is a great value for its price. The lens is decent sharp, delivers good colors and the image stabilization works great. At 200mm you get a F5.6 which is the same as 18-55mm kit lens at 55mm. Other than the kit lens it's sharp at F4/50mm (my kit lens is horrible at F3.5/18mm). So it's very decent also for portraits. I often just take this and the 16mm pancake, leave the 18-55mm at home. That's sufficient for most situations.

I use it with the NX100Simply a great lensRazor sharp, feels solid, fast focus speed. The only thing that might be considered a disadvantage is that it's heavy and largeHeavier than the NX100But not to the point to take a star from the rating.I noticed that the image stabilization is greatMuch better than the Panny Mega one..Well done Samsung.I got it for one fifty with the NX100What a price.

This is a good telephoto lens and i use it all the time with my NX1000. It works great with both AF and MF and I like the physical MF switch. I also love that they included the iFn butten as this makes the process of choosing manual settings a lot easier. This is a must for any NX camera owners if they don't want to spend more on the 18-200mm lens. I recommend.

Good lens- no i function on this lens

While the lens is good, I want to warn other people that this lens is not really the one that goes with the NX100, it does not have the i function (iFn) feature. I am actually returning it and going to buy it somewhere else that has that function. I primarily use the manual functions of the camera and the format of the NX100 makes it difficult to do without the iFn on the lens.

Exceptional consumer zoom

This lens is priced inline with other consumer lenses with the same specs (Nikon / Canon / Panasonic) - mid-to-long telephoto in the f/4-5.6 range with stabilization, but the build and image quality is exceptional.Handling on the NX100 is a little different than with a similar lens on other systems - the lens weighs a little more than the body and drastically changes the balance. In practice it works well as you support the bottom of any zoom with your left hand anyway, so shooting is comfortable but different in that all the weight is in that hand since the camera weighs so little. Carrying the camera on the strap with this lens mounted will also leave the lens pointed down, rather than out, but the zoom is tight and there is no barrel creep. (The other system lenses are so small that the body usually lays flat against your torso on the strap.)I own the Nikon 55-200 f/4-5.6, and have used the canon equivalent in the past. In comparison this lens is more solid with a better feel in your hands. Zooming feels smooth and purposeful, while the Nikon version feels cheaper and more plastic. The Samsung mount is metal (plastic on Nikon), and overall fit and finish are superb.Images are sharp and vibrant, stabilization is smooth and quiet, while the focus is quick and silent. The Samsung system lacks a direct connection to the focus helicoid, but manual focus feels nearly as direct and the results are just as good. Near-to-far focus is about 1.5 turns, excellent for precision work. Autofocus is quick and quiet, more so on both accounts than the comparison lens.I expected this lens to be similar to the competing systems in terms of quality and performance, but I have been pleasantly surprised in every way.
