Great entry level telescope. Stand is very cheap and shaky. I'll probably replace that, but the telescope alone gets 5 stars and is worth the price.

I could see Jupiter, colored cloud bands, and 4 of its moons last night with the included eye pieces. It does shake some when trying to focus. The slow-mo adjustment knobs are nice.

decent telescope for the price. stand is a little wobbly and the focal lenses needed to be pushed in as they were slightly ajar however the tube assembly is decent for a beginner telescope as the detail of the moon is amazing and I could see two red stripes across Jupiter as well as four of its moons, they were little dots around the planet so I used the program that came with the telescope to verify that they were moonsI haven't tried to observe any deep sky objects yet however I plan to get a dobsonian when I get more time for night observations. nevertheless even if I don't use this for night observations the advantage of a refractory telescope is that you can do day time observations. I'm not completely satisfied but I don't find it to be a waste of money.

Extremely sensitive and difficult to use. It must be put together first using very unclear instructions (plan for a few hours to do so). Even after following these poorly written instructions many times and repeating the process of alignment and setup, we haven't been able to get it to work to our satisfaction. This is NOT a beginners telescope (and we are fairly intelligent people). We are considering returning it for a simpler version.

I got this as a birthday gift for my wife. It's a great entry level telescope and we have no trouble seeing the 4 large Jovian moons. If you plan on looking at earth's moon do your eyes a favor and get the 13% filter ;)
