The Amazon Basics Camera Hand Strap is an economical hand strap for using your camera without a neck strap. The mounting plate has a groove that allows the thumb screw to slide forward and backwards, so the plate can be centered on virtually any camera. The top of the plate has a textured rubberized gripping surface, and after securely screwing it on, I found it did not slip, even with a very heavy DSLR and heavy lens (about 6 pounds). The strap is adjustable at both ends. The part that fits over your hand has a very tiny pocket that could hold an SD or micro SD card, but not much else. The strap holds a heavy camera moderately securely, and is moderately comfortable (more padding, and a better ergonomic shape could help improve this minimalist design). For small to mid-size cameras, this strap is highly recommended. If you have a full-frame camera, or professional DSLR, I'd go with something more substantial.
