We rescued a Golden puppy, whose first owners thought paper training him was a good idea. We are working to teach him that outside is a better choice, but, as we work through this process we still need to have pads inside. I purchased a JUMBO boot tray, and put the pads in it. Actually, I've been using the resuable pads, and when they all are in the wash, I use these. These are much larger than any other pet products. Two of them fill the JUMBO boot tray (also purchased from Amazon). I use binder clips to attach them to the side of the tray to keep them anchored. It absorbs the urine, and I place them in the garbage. Because of the larger size, I like them better than the ones specifically for pets. But, most paper trained dogs are small dogs, not large dogs. The only thing that would make them perfect would be a size that fits into the boot liner. I didn't like placing them on the floor because they needed to be anchored with something to prevent movement. The JUMBO boot tray is perfect. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007XIXC8O/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_24 The pads stay in place, and the floor is protected.
