While this is an affordable tree, the proportions are a little off. The top can't really be smaller, so the other flat parts need to be larger. My cat is agile and had some trouble getting from landing to landing. If you look at most cat trees, the landings are designed to help the cat spring from one spot to the next. It's almost a straight up jump on this scaled down tree. I tried placing it near other furniture to help her, but she is not interested. This is the first cat tree she's treated with indifference. I just took it next door to give to my neighbors who have two kittens who can at least enjoy the scratching posts.
