The Echo Plus is an awesome piece of equipment, I absolutely love it!However, Amazon is PURPOSELY vague/deceptive on the capability of their equipment/software. For example, the site specifically states the hub is a ZigBee hub, yet it DOES NOT specifically state the hub is NOT AT ALL compatible with Z-Wave. This is fully deceptive marketing, just state what your product CAN NOT DO!Also, Z-WAVE device advertisements on Amazon flat out state they are fully compatible with Alexa, this is FLAT OUT FALSE, and I consider this to be and industry wide marketing LIE! You CAN NOT connect Z-WAVE devices to this hub, no matter what you read, Amazon will not tell you this unless you buy the hub, connect it, trouble shoot, give up and call them. Then they say ""oh looks like the hub is NOT compatible with you Z-WAVE devices, we can allow you to return all the Z-Wave equipment so you can buy more expensive ZigBee products (which probably contain Chinese hack Software). Rediclous, just be HONEST and tell your customers what your device can an can not do, otherwise you are a bunch of big fat ADVERTISING LIARS.With that said, to connect Z-WAVE to the Alexa hub, you have to buy a separate Z-WAVE hub, something their tech support will not tell you. Oh, also, don't trust the FAQ's/help page on the App, they suggest it is simple and you just find you device and the hub (which everyone thinks they just bought a hub because they have the echo plus) but it is %100 WRONG. You will not know the GE Z-Wave instructions are flat out FALSE until you talk to customer service and they act like you should have known you need a different hub.One other thing that is irritating is that you have to wipe Amazon devices back to factory just to update your WiFi password. If you follow the instructions, it will say this is a last resort. WRONG WRONG WRONG! Not only is this wrong, but I had to teach Amazon that you have to reset their equipment not once, but twice to get it to work. Then I had to do the full setup again. To be fair, this applies to their devices which have screens. The last comment I have is the Alexa App, it has to be the least professional App, least intuitive App, most difficult App on the planet. It is a TURD. Why do you not have the same capability on the App within no screen devices for devices which have screens? Basically you can not control/setup screen devices using the app. THIS IS JUST STUPID!Advise to Amazon:.Why ruin such an amazing product by supplying a crappy user interface and false/deceptive advertising? Especially the crappy home automation directions, and hub connections? When you read these instructions, they are FULLY deceptive.
