Confirmed it works right out of the box with Nintendo Switch!

Pros- Cost! Nintendo wants to charge you $30 for a USB Ethernet adapter.- Works right out of the box with Nintendo Switch! I initially set it up utilizing one of the two USB ports on the side of the Switch Loading Dock. But for testing purposes I switched it to the USB port in the back next to the HDMI cable and it WORKED!- I was able to statically assign the the IP, Subnet, Gateway, and DNS without any problems using the Switch Internet interface.- No problems setting up a DHCP reservation for this cardCons- I wish it was 1000/100/10 instead of just a 100/10Other thoughts- I did not need to use the driver disk and I have not tested this device in a Windows environment because it was intended for use with the Nintendo Switch.

Adapter works; Windows broken

Wed 2/07/2018 4:46 pm. Asus Vivobook F510UA FHD 2016 Windows 10 laptop. With ugreen adapter, fails a ping test to a known network computer. With old adapter, works.I had this same experience with an AmazonBasics USB 3 adapter, which I returned. And I will return this one, and eek out my technical needs with a few of these things I have lying about from another age, apparently when they used to work.Thu 2/08/2018 7:06 am. ADAPTER OK; WINDOWS BROKENI grovel in shame before these innocent adapters, because I FORGOT important Windows mumbo-jumbo I should've remembered.1. Whenever you plug-in a new usb/ethernet adapter, windows obliterates your ethernet parameters and sets them to a default.2. If you then plug-in the old one, Windows remembers its settings, producing the behavior described above.3. Most (?) system will work with this casual destruction.4. Some won't, including my peer-to-peer fixed numeric address ethernet.5. Once I remembered, fixing the ethernet settings wasn't hard, but much too lengthy for here. Try googling for ""windows ipv4 settings"".

Works for my Roku TV

I bought this so that I could have a wired connection for my 40"" TCL Roku TV. Works great! I plugged the ethernet cable in, then plugged this in to the USB port. I disabled my wireless router, turned on the TV and it was connected and working great. I tried a Belkin USB/ethernet converter and it didn't work. This one is working great for me. I will update if I have any problems later.Update July 20, 2016Just wanted to say that this is still working great. Plus, I tried the speed test channel on Roku, and it shows I have a wired connection speed of well over 12 megabits per second, which is supposed to be enough for 3D streaming. I don't plan to stream 3D or UHD on this TV, but I just wanted to let everyone know that this can handle fast speeds with the Roku TV.

UGREEN USB Ethernet Adapter - Use for Wii-U
by Valued Customer on May 12, 2018

I use this USB ethernet adapter for my Wii-U as I like to keep as many of my connected devices off of Wi-Fi as possible and use a direct cable when I can. This helps keep my wireless internet uncluttered, and wired devices tend to remain connected if/when Wi-Fi issues crop up (they remain connected even if the wireless goes down and are the first to reconnect if I have to reboot my router).I didn't need anything in the gigabit speed range because the Wii-U isn't that advanced and connects just fine with the 10/100 protocols. Price and reliability were my two major motivating factors in choosing this USB adapter and so far I have absolutely no reason to complain.

Purchased this for First Generation Nintendo Wii - It works with zero problems out of the box.

I have a first generation Nintendo Wii that I have not used in years. Back when I purchased it in 2006 I used a wireless USB D-Link Adapter that seemed to work just fine. For whatever reason that wireless adapter does not work anymore. I've been meaning to download a game or two from the Wii Virtual Console Shop but I couldn't get online. I looked on amazon and found this USB adapter. As soon as I got it I plugged it in and bam! I was updating the Wii software and downloading Yoshi's Story for the N64. Sweet. This little adapter comes packaged well in a cute little box. It includes an instruction manual (not that you need it because it's plug and play) that contains instructions in Spanish, Italian, Japanese, French, Dutch and English. It comes with a 3.5 inch CD-ROM with drivers for that rare person who's still using a dinosaur for a computer. As said previously, it's plug and play. There's nothing else to do besides plugging into your USB connection and you are done.Buy if:-You have a Wii/Wii-U that you want an internet hard line for-You have a defected LAN port on your laptop / game console / Motherboard

An excellent plug and play USB ethernet adapter

This is an excellent plug and play item on Windows 10. The mini-CD with drivers was not needed., I connected the adapter to a Kangaroo Mobile PC after disconnecting WiFi and had immediate internet connection. I wanted to relieve some of the WiFi connections on my network and this did the job. The connection is slower than I would like so I am going to order the USB 3.0 gigabit version and see if that speeds up the connection. The Kangaroo has both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports. This adapter also works through a USB hub and ethernet switch, a very positive attribute for connecting it to your network.I am impressed with this item and strongly recommend it. Get the USB 3.0 Gigabit version if you have the connection for it. Your cost can stay in the $9 to $15 range for a quality product.

Product arrived on time.Fortunately I bought 2 of these adapters. The first one I used worked and is still working. When i went to use the 2nd adapter it is broke and not working. Its past the return period and really needs to be replaced for being defective. Hit and miss on the items for me; 50/50. Gave 2 stars due to 1 worked, arrived on time, but no more stars than that because the other adapter is a nice paper weight now.UPDATE: The company reached out to me and offered tech support. We went through a few troubleshooting steps for the adapter to double check. It was still unresponsive and not working. The company sent out a replacement immediately and arrived in 2 days. Thank you for your help and response to my problem. Both adapters work great and will use the company in future for more purchases. Thank you again.

Works With TLC 32 inch Roku TV

I bought this device to use with my 32 inch TLC Roku TV. I was reading on forms that device will work to give the Roku a hardline internet (ethernet) I have been having issues with the slowness of the onboard wifi and was looking for ways to connect my TV via an ethernet connection without TLC recommendation to buy a new tv that has built-in ethernet. So I figured to give it a go and it worked. Speeds are great and my buffering time is noticeably reduced. Online menus load faster an, I no longer have to have a bad picture while the buffers loads and catch up with the picture quality. It's full quality as soon as the picture comes up. I will be buying more for the other Roku TV's that I have. NOTE: This may not work with all Roku TV's I have Roku model:5147x TLC Model: 32S301-W running Software Verison:8.0.0.4142

Works on MAC OS 10.12.1! No software needed

My 2014 Mac book air got wet and wifi hardware no longer available. I got a wireless USB wifi antenna but I needed to download software so I bought this UGREEN LAN cable adapter. Plugged into Mac then cable then into my router and I was connected to internet through Ethernet then I download d software and I'm back to being wireless! I was apprehensive at first some customer questions and reviews only said adapter would work with Mac OS up to 10.11 but I gave it a chance and it worked perfectly! The APPLE brand cost more than 4 times as much and box stores wanted 3 times as much so once again AMAZON wins again

Easy Plug-n-Play installation on Windows 10 Pro laptop. No driver necessary

Easy installation on Windows 10 Pro laptop. I attached this adapter to a USB 2.0 port on a docking bay used to connect my HP EliteBook 2570P laptop to my network. It worked immediately with no further installation or driver necessary. I then tested internet speed using speedtest.net. Download speed was 97 Mbps. For comparison, I ran the same test on a desktop computer, a Dell OptiPlex 7050. Download speed was 112 Mbps. From a practical standpoint, that isn't a significant difference to me.

Performs great and plug and play on Surface Pro 4

I used this through a USB hub on my Surface Pro 4 to get hard wired ethernet. It was plug and play with the Surface Pro 4 automatically installing the needed drivers and connecting to my wired network. I did this through a USB3 hub that also had my mouse dongle connected to it and found using the hub even with the mouse simultaneously did not affect transfer speed at all! Multiple speed tests showed I have full bandwidth, measuring faster throughput than the 75 mbps FIOS connection I subscribe to!

Inexpensive adapter that works.

It works. My laptop doesn't have an Ethernet port (thanks, Apple), so I had to buy this USB adapter. Just plug in and go - no software needed. Small and lightweight, tiny LEDs light up when active. Minus a star because the 10/100 side of it is a tad loose and sometimes the cable slides out and I lose connection. Otherwise works like a charm.
