Purchased this headset for my son to play on his PS3. For many multiplayer games (like Little Big Planet) it allows him to talk to his fellow players if they have a headset as well. Connecting/pairing the headset was easy through the PS3 setting menus and once paired it reconnects automatically every time he uses the PS3. The volume is fine for him (at max level) and he says that he can hear the other players well and they are able to understand him well. The headset is only used for voice, all other game sounds still go through the TV/sound system. This can not be configured (at least I did not see how), so this headset does not allow him to play with ALL sound coming through the headset. I believe this is by design of the PS3 bluetooth capability. He gets at least 3-4 hours of playing time on a charge, but he is very good charging it between sessions, so he has not yet run out of battery during a session. He finds the set comfortable with the following considerations (hence the four stars):1. He is not wearing the set with the ear piece all the way in his ear, since he claims that this starts hurting after a while. It is more resting at the entrance of his ear canal.2. As a result, when he gets very excited in a game and starts jumping up and down (what do you expect, he is nine!), the headset sometimes falls off, but it seems to be sturdy so it is still working fine.Overall he is very happy with the headset and it has added a whole new dimension to his multiplayer games. As a parent I would recommend though to instruct your child clearly that they should not share any information with other players regarding name or location. He always plays in the family room with a parent close by and he is good at following this instruction.
