I have a security system and have another camera that the company installed. I will be comparing the Netvue to this camera.Pros: -It is a clear picture and the night vision works great ONLY if you are filming the inside of your house or if you are filming the outside with it mounted OUTSIDE as well. This camera is certified for indoors only but I have a well covered porch and it does just fine. Night vision will NOT work if it's mounted inside and through a window. The glare makes it impossible to see anything at all.-Despite what others are saying about the app, I was surprisingly impressed. This camera can be easily moved simply by swiping left to right in order to get a wider view of your entire property.-The incoming audio is clear and you can keep constant live feed on a device in your home. (See photo).-It's very user friendly and easy to set up. I did have a hard time scanning my individual QR code with my phone at first and I was irritated momentarily but realized I simply needed to turn on my kitchen light. Don't attempt to scan in a dim area.-Motion detection works extremely well. So although this camera is not storing live feed memory, every time it detects motion it automatically creates a still shot for you and stores it until you delete it. It is time stamped.-Motion detection can be toggled off if you choose. It is very sensitive so you can count on it but even better, it enables you to block certain areas of your feed with a tap of your finger. For instance, you want to catch motion on your sidewalk but not the street every time a vehicle drives byyou simply gray out the street area by tapping. You can also determine the sensitivity of the motion detector by sliding it from min-max. So, say you want to catch a still shot of your neighbors dog but not the neighbors maple leaf tumbling across your driveway, you reduce the sensitivity.-You can choose to be alerted every time your camera detects motion and stores a still shot.-It's extremely easy to install/mount. We managed it in under a minute.Cons:-Unless you insert a mini SD card, this will not store live feed and even WITH the SD card, you are only getting several days of feed. Dependent upon the app only, you are able to see ONE still shot of the crook that stole your Amazon Prime package oppose to watching every move he makes. My other camera stores live feed the entire time. But this is efficient if you simply want to catch a crook or the neighbors dog wandering your lawn. If anyone attempts to steal the camera, you already have a still shot stored of them approaching.- Even with the motion sensitivity reduced, my flag still activates the detector and sends me a message every time. Obviously this won't be a problem when the flag comes down. But if you have permanent motion in your feed, keep this in mind. You can certainly gray out this motion area, but you may also be graying out an important view of your yard.-The outgoing audio does not work well. Unless I am ignorant to this feature, mine cannot transmit my voice to the person on the porch but I can hear them very well.-There is a slight lag upon camera angle movement. . Upon swiping the camera from left, right, up and downit takes a few seconds to catch up. It's a tad jumpy and not extremely smooth. But I'm happy just to have this feature as it enables me to view my entire property fairly instantly.-There is a slight lag on the live feed as well. I don't have a problem with this as it's only a second or two.- It's not an outdoor camera, so unless you have a well covered area, this wont work for you unless you plan on using it INSIDE. You might have problems in a very humid area. I can't say for sure. I'm in a med humid climate.Overall, this camera works great for the price. I recieved a discount from another website, but I would pay the original price of $50 for this camera without hesitating. I'm happy with it.
