I had bought the drone as a gift for my girlfriend. She's interested in photography and a camera drone seemed like a good fit for her. But, I also knew that she would want practice before investing in an expensive drone because I knew she'd be worried about losing / breaking it.The device itself looks well built and operates well for the price. It's really a lot of fun to fly, although I wish the photo and video quality were a bit higher. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and I'd recommend this model for anyone starting out.I've upgraded the SD card to 64GB and I think that's working fine, and I plan to upgrade the camera to 1080p, if possible, and to purchase additional batteries. I'll post an update in the future with details on how that all goes.Pros:+ Relatively inexpensive.+ Fairly quiet.+ Nice looking drone.+ Good controls.+ Okay amount of flight time between recharges.+ Robust. I've crashed it plenty of times and it's still running quite well.Cons:+ Rotors and guards are in the way when taking photos / videos.+ Battery meter isn't reliable so it's hard to know when to land it.+ Pictures are only 720p and the quality is a bit too muted.+ Video stutters sometimes.+ Saves BMPs as JPGs when connected through an Android phone, but saves as JPGs to the SD card. This is a huge bug.+ Doesn't save to SD card consistently and can't choose where to save images/videos.+ Hard to see which way the drone is pointing during the day.+ Documentation is decent, but skips over critical operations.+ Lights on drone and controller are hard to see in the day.+ Often drifts on takeoff.Ideas for Holy Stone:+ Battery upgrades. I'd love to buy a higher capacity battery if it were available.+ Camera upgrades. I believe there's a 1080p camera available, but that's not clear to me now. I do know the camera is removable (as shown in photo). There's one for the HS100 that maybe fits, but I'll have to ask Holy Stone for clarification.+ Controller induced drone beeping to locate it. Sometimes it crashes in bushes and it would be nice to have a way to locate it.
