My wife says I have a cable fetish. Fiberoptic digital cables, HDMI cables, component video cables, Lightning/USB cables, 30-pin cables, spools of phone and coax cable. You name it, I've got it. Bins full of the stuff. So I guess I'm a bit of a cable connoisseur. When the data/charging cable included with ourSamsung Galaxy Tab 2went bad from being abused (don't worry, the child responsible has been offered up for adoption), I came to Amazon to buy a replacement (cable, not child). This bulk packaged cable caught my eye, mostly due to the low price and other positive reviews. The cable arrived quickly, packaging was nothing special (you can't judge a book by its cover), but the cable itself is indistinguishable from the original that came with the tablet. It's soft and pliable, yet at the same time supple and firm. It forms a snug, secure connection on both the USB and 30-pin end, and works perfectly for charging and for data transfer. In short, a great cable at a nice price. Excuse me while I explain to the new children how to properly treat a cable.UPDATE (4/14): one year later, this cable is still going strong (and so are the new children). I should mention that my cable was fulfilled by Amazon from a seller called ""HK Seller."" If people are getting lower quality knock-offs, this may be due to some third party sellers selling inferior/imitation goods. Be careful who you buy it from!
