This is the best watch for the Apple platform in terms of functionality. It's also ugly as sin. I wear the thing when I'm working, but I don't wear it at other times. If you can tolerate the way it looks, then it does its job. Think of it as a peripheral to the phone, not a standalone device. (That holds for the LTE version as well. You will still need your phone in your pocket to do anything real, like answer email or respond to a txt.) Battery life is good (you can get three days out of a charge), It's disappointing how few of my phone apps have matching watch apps, and the behavior of the watch apps is even more disappointing. You can't actually read your email on the watch, for example, the app just refers you to the phone if the mail is longer than a few words. The twitter app isn't bad. The Lyft app doesn't even tell you how long it will take for the driver to arrive. Maybe I'm just not a smartwatch person, but I don't think of this thing as essential gear. The main reason I have it is that it's less obtrusive than a phone when I'm sitting in a meeting and somebody wants to get hold of me. The rest of the time, I wear a real watch that looks way better and tells the time equally well.
