I got this tripod and the barska 20 x 40 x large binoculars The tripod works OK and it's sturdy The quick release should not be on here. I slightly bumped the quick release and my binoculars slipped off and I caught the binoculars Justin time before it hit the floor . (( warning When using this tripod beware of the quick release ))

I Purchased this tripod from a different site because of a gift card. It has been working very well for field use. I am currently using it for Digi scope photos of cell tower tops and as a laptop stand for field work. It has held up very well for 1 year now. The only draw back I have found so far is that the pan and tilt can be finicky to get the tension where you want it for smooth operation. Mostly I have it locked in one position however so it hasn't been a real issue. I especially like the feet and legs which keep it super stable and work great on uneven ground. I am currently trying to find compatible plates so I don't have to break out tools when I want to use it for different applications.

Excellent tripod for the money. I had to clean, lube and adjust it went it was delivered but I bought a used one from Amazon so expected it wouldn't be perfect. Once I did it's been working great ever since.

DOES NOT HAVE Left/Right TILT!I wanted to make sure you saw that, because I didn't notice this.Other than that, this is a very good sturdy tripod.I bought this to use with my 15x70 binoculars, which it works well for. However, I also do photography. This tripod is worthless to the photographer. So beware of that.No gears! I hate tripods with gears. This one has nice compression rings for adjusting height and azimuth and front/back tilt.I will have to return this and find me a nice heavy tripod, but one with tilt, so I will have a fully functional tripod.Yes, I know it is my own fault for not noticing. But I read someone else's comment that read ""This is a quality tripod. In all directions, i.e. up, down, right to left and so on.""NOT all directions! Which was the 1 star deduction.

This is a quality tripod. In all directions, i.e. up, down, right to left and so on. The movement is very smooth which is very important with high-end spotter scopes and cameras using telephoto And zoom. Very pleased with this product, so much that I have edit my original review! jhg

For A Sighting Scope

If you hunt or target shoot, you'll need a sighting scope. Most tripods do not and cannot hold the weight of a good scope. This one is worth the price I paid. Stable, sturdy and for the first time TALL enough.
