My roommates and I were looking for an alternative to a TV for a dorm room since a TV with a decent size is going to run a few hundred dollars. We started looking at projectors instead and after I did some research, I decided on this one and purchased it. One thing that I was worried most about was the clarity of picture in a well lit room, since we didn't want to have to keep the room pitch black whenever we wanted to play some video games or watch a movie. I set this projector up and started running it in a room with the windows open on a sunny day, and the the picture was still very bright and clear. Of course, it's best if you use a dark room or only have one light to keep the picture as vivid as possible, but it doesn't disappoint in broad daylight. The box says the projector is 1080p hd, meaning that it accepts 1080p signals. However, it only outputs at 720p, which is still great for the price, considering most projectors in this price range output at 480p. The fan noise is noticeable when there's no sound coming from the projector, but when you watch a movie or tv or play video games you're most likely going to have the sound on, drowning out the fan noise. The speakers are decent, but it'd be better with a dedicated set of speakers. The only major drawback is the lack of a zoom function, which really limits the choice of screen size you can have. But for the price, I could not be happier with this projector.
