The mechanism inside these guys is surprisingly simple. A faint tap is heard when pulling the triggers against the mechanism, louder than doing so without the hair trigger enabled. It decreases the travel by roughly 40%. For reference, you can barely drive the golf cart in fortnite with it enabled. The texture on the back is also high quality, with a nice pattern for grip. I give these four stars because the left panel doesnt sit flush to the controller - it's upper edge sticks out ever so slightly. Also, the right hair trigger mechanism made a clicking noise and feeling when I would apply normal pressure to the trigger. I fixed this one by cutting some very small pieces of electrical tape to put between the switch and the end of its path, so the fit was tighter. It fixed the problem, but shouldn't have happened in the first place. These are minor things and can be overlooked as chance manufacturing error. I still really enjoy these pieces for how simple and effective they are. They don't even get in the way of your fingers with a tight grip.
