Having used several L series and sigma art lenses, this Native sony ultrawide zoom falls a bit below the L /art quality. The only reason why I bought it is for vlog on my a6500, but even so theres too much distortion on 10-14mm. IQ is above average and better than the mushy 18-105 G. those who say that this is a sharp sharp lens need to have their eyes fixed. On a positive note, I like the small footprint, lightweight and almost always stays in my cam during travels. I appreciate the oss as it helps with low shutter speeds. It is fast to focus and quiet in overall operation which is important in video work. For photography, I expected more. Noise reduction and sharpening in post is always needed to match L / art quality. Rated 3.5 for price performance ratio. It should cost around $500s imo but sony is holding up aps-c users by not releasing an ultra wide zoom in 2.8, it is way long overdue. Theres no better option for a well rounded but limited uwa zoom with this lens. Go ahead and try zeiss touit 12/2.8 (discontinued), or samyang 12/2.0(manual) or sigma 16/1.4. I always go back to 10-18 due to convenience, af, lightweight and small footprint. Oh well..
