i bought this printer to complement my diy pos system. the other items include a dellcomputerandmonitor, and thiscash drawer, all for under $700. the printer included the epson opos drivers, which allowed me to install the printer to the computer very easily. this printer also communicates with the cash drawer perfectly, and allowed me to add a custom image to the top of the receipt with very little effort.i picked up some ncrreceipt paperalso, which works great in the printer. print quality is excellent, and the speed is plenty fast. the cutter also works very well. the footprint is small enough that the printer fits neatly behind the monitor, on top of the cash drawer. servicing the printer is also very easy, as all you need to do is open the top, toss in a new roll of paper, and make sure some extra paper is sticking out the top when you close it; no feeding paper through rollers or any of that headache. it does all the work for you.i can't believe this printer costs $150! i would expect something that works this well to cost at least twice as much (as many other options do). i can't recommend this thermal printer highly enough!
