Perfect for me

Love my Garmin Vivosmart so far. It has endured a lot of sweat, sun screen, the pool, and even the Gulf of Mexico. It just works. I've never had any other brand but see no reason to now. I love the app and the device, especially seeing as though it's water resistant even in the ocean, pool, and shower!

Meh? I do a lot of boxing and the tracker would think that's a double tap and starts timing me! Really clunky App and device layout. Just not happy with it.

Garmin Not Easy to deal with if problems occur.

Does everything all the other heart rate fitness monitors do. The bank broke after 6 months. Garmin said they replace it and never did. Then they said they would give me credit, they never did, because I paid with points. It took 2 months.

Can't replace the band

-1 star because the band is not replaceable. Literally, the first thing to break on the old model was the band And again it's the first thing to break. The design team has to have their head far up there you know what to not allow for replaceable wrist

This has bee a good replacement for my old Garmin. Would like to find some replacement straps for this. Doesn't appear there are any. Could be up the well-known water way when the original strap breaks.

Wrist Gesture Never Worked

I purchased this Garmin on 05/17/2018 after the band on my previous Garmin Vivosmart HR fell apart. I like a watch that can get a little wet, day after day. I don't mean one that stays submerged under water for hours but one that will tolerate a daily shower, one that can withstand a dunk in dishwater, one that I can wear when scrubbing water buckets for my horses, dogs, etc., one that tolerates sweat, and one that just generally tolerates exposure to moisture/water. My original Vivosmart HR was advertised as ""water resistant"" and it proved to be so. I loved it and everything about its functionality. Its weakness/problem was the connection between the band and the USB charger. It was a bad design which eventually caused the band to break. The watch itself was A+. The Vivosmart 3 offered even greater water resistance and addressed the band/charger problem with a far superior design. Why only 3 stars? The battery life is a bit disappointing but it is rechargeable! This is my MAJOR complaint. I am supposed to be able to double tap the display screen to ""wake the device."" Sometimes I have to tap dance on the display screen just to check the time of day. According to my owners' instructions and the Garmin website, I should be able to use a ""Wrist Gesture"" described as ""Rotate and lift your wrist toward your body to turn the screen on. Rotate your wrist away from your body to turn the screen off."" My watch has never done this. NOT ONCE! While it is still under warranty I will be returning it. While I LOVE all of the ""smart"" functions offered by the Garmin Vivosmart line, I still really want to be able to take a quick look at my wrist to tell time. Meanwhile, I plan to order a new band from Garmin for my old Vivosmart HR.

Nice, small fitness tracker with plenty of features

This is my 3rd garmin. My first (old model vivosmart) was a great starter fitness tracker. It did wear out after about a year though - the display became hard to read, and then the band broke. I moved up to the vivoactive which tracked cycling and swimming. I used that for a couple of years, but got tired of the large watch face. I still use it for swimming and cycling, but really like the new vivosmart 3 as an everyday fitness tracker. I like all the features (heart rate, stress level, steps, phone calls/emails/texts, intensity minutes, etc), and I especially like its size - it is less obtrusive.
