I bought this remote because I run my TV through my Xbox as well as do all my streaming through it and my Harmony Hub remote can turn on the Xbox, but not actually navigate the apps. As a result, my batteries in my controller were dying once a week because I had to constantly keep my controller on to do any streaming. This remote is nice, because you don't have to really turn it on. When you move it, it activates the lights, which is nice for using it in the dark and not having to mash a button to make it light up. You also don't have to pair this because it uses an IR transmitter to send commands. This is a double edged sword though, because I often find myself having to move the remote around as I mash the button trying to make it read. It won't work if you keep your Xbox behind solid doors or anything. I also am still not sure what some of the buttons are for and it took me a little while to figure out how to navigate fully with the remote. Still, I enjoy not having to change my batteries in my controller once a week and it works well enough. I'd say it is a no-brainer if you use your Xbox for streaming.
